At the top of 2024, Benny The Butcher will release his first album with Def Jam Recordings since signing with them in 2021 (the Buffalo rapper has put out a few projects since then, including Tana Talk 4, Pyrex Picasso, and compilations with his own label Black Soprano Family). It’s a real milestone, and today the rollout gets a dose of momentum with the lead single “Big Dog,” featuring Lil Wayne.

Both rappers hop on a beat produced by the Alchemist (who has his own project out today, Flying High, Part 2, an EP with one track featuring Benny’s onetime Griselda cohort Conway The Machine). Neither one strays too much lyrically from what you’d expect given the track’s title, but they are clearly having fun with their bars — you can tell Benny relishes the prospect of telling his driver to wait for 15 minutes while he meets up with a sneaky link. Hear the song in the stylish black-and-white music video below.
