Cam’ron’s attempt to join his team the Brooklyn Nets as an bench player didn’t pan to his advantage since the team’s most popular basketball player Kevin Durant ignored the offer.

The Dipset rapper posted to Instagram to share that he had tried playing a bench position with the Nets after he joined forces along with Durant along with Rich Kleiman at an event during the weekend. Like a true Cam’ron Harlem-bred hoops fans took advantage of the opportunity and didn’t let it slip by.

However, according Cam’ron Cam, KD wasn’t trying to listen to anything about his joining in the Brooklyn Nets. As viewers can see from Cam’ron’s blog post the All-Star forward laughed at what the rapper was saying to him.

“Me telling KD how I would be a good 2 guard coming off the bench for the nets,” Cam posted on Instagram with a picture of him exuberantly giving his message to Durant who was attentive and smiled. “He looked at me and walked away @easymoneysniper @richkleiman @boardroom.”

Prior to his fame as a rapper his Cam’ron had been a popular basketball player at a high school at Harlem, New York in the early 1990s. He was with the same group with Ma$e at the Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics Both rappers led their teams to the Public Schools Athletic Class A championship in Madison Square Garden.

After losing the playoffs two times and suffering injuries during college, Cam’ron resorted to hustle and put his basketball goals in the dust. It would prove to be a good choice as Cam eventually became the superstar multi-platinum-selling rapper fans know and love today.

Killa Cam is vocal in her criticism of the Nets poor play this season. The team is currently averaging 6-8 and has fired their coach Steve Nash a few weeks ago. Add in the antisemitic controversy that has been brewing around Kyrie Irving who was recently banned, and you can say that the season was a turbulent one for the team.

Cam’ron also directed his anger towards the other Brooklyn Nets star, Ben Simmons who hasn’t yet made an impression since making his long-awaited debut on the team in the month of October. The rapper took to Instagram this month and was critical of Simmons for his poor performances at the beginning of the season by telling Simmons, a 3-time All-Star the player to “go fuck with the Kardashians.”

“Look I’m going to be short and quick”, and then pause. Ben Simmons, stop wasting my n-gas’ time,” Cam said, refers towards Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. “I’m dead serious. Get off my n-gas man. There’s n-ggas two-on-fucking five on the internet. Stop playing with ngas Man.”

“If you’re not keen on be fucking playing basketball, take a trip to the Kardashians and the Jenners and whoever they are fucking you with. Then when we watch the show on television, it’s like”Oh, it’s perfect. I went to the fucking match last night, and I saw you shoot an airball layup” he said.

Cam also wanted to let everyone know that the message came directly from him, not Simmons his teammates Durant or Irving.

“KD, Kyrie, I know ya’ll may not approve this message,” the rapper declared. “This isn’t about them. This is my fault. I’m not playing with my n-ggas! Real talk, man. If you don’t want play basketball, and do whatever you’d like to do. Stop playing with the N-Ggas man! This shit made me angry! I could wear a suit and score two points, 6 fouls.”
