Diddy Diddy has been reflecting on the loss of his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter on the fourth anniversary of her passing.

The Bad Boy Records founder took to Instagram on Tuesday (November 15) to post a series of images of the deceased mother of his three children who passed away unexpectedly due to a form of pneumonia in November , 2018 aged just 47.

“Today we celebrate you on your rebirth day,” Diddy wrote in the caption. “I hope you all feel a love as strong as this. I miss you & love you forever.”

Puff also shared a heartfelt video where he recounts the first time he met Porter. “Once once upon a time, it was a youth from Harlem who came across this gorgeous young woman who was from Columbus, Georgia. This lady was the coolest most elegant of all, the most ghetto, gorgeous, elegant, and most importantly the most caring person I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting,” he said.

“She worked at the front desk of Uptown which I interned at Uptown. I would pass through each morning, and I couldn’t be patient to look at her smile! I’d never smile because it was New York, you know what I’m talking about? She would say, “Boy you, if I’m unable to create a smile for you, why can’t anyone else make you smile. The woman has ever been lying; I’ve always smiled since then.”

In the photo caption Diddy wrote: “Everyday we remember you and thank God for blessing us with the time we spent with each other. I thank you so much for making my smile for the first time in my life time. You’ve helped me become more of a father and better man. I am so thankful for the times and memories, the laughter and the affection.”

“At first, I cried for like three months straight,” the man admitted. “I was walking around crying, like always. It was painful. It was just that I didn’t … The pain was so intense. I had stopped moving. I had become isolated. It was a rough time. I was unable to control my the tears. I was anywhere and any thought would bring me down and take me down.

“But as time passed and I had to come to terms with the realities and praying and God speaking to God was the only way to get me through it. I lived a beautiful life with Kim. I have beautiful children and I’m like the most fortunate man on earth. It’s amazing to have the opportunity to have me with her … It’s something that happens every day. I’m back on my feet, and I’m looking forward to loving again.”

Yung Miami who shared about her loss of father. She then she asked Diddy what the role of fatherhood has changed following the loss of his mother.

“Fatherhood has been really, really real ’cause I was like a part-time father,” he added. “Kim, Sarah and everyone were held to a certain standard. When I lost Kim it was as if I was a full-time dad. My life is truly wild in the present. It’s real to be on the road and all that to actually having to raise three kids. I’ve never experienced the same situation before. I think God did me a favor and hit me three times. I have three girls who are turning 16.”

The funeral of Porter was held November 24, 2018, within her native town, Columbus, Georgia. A crowd of between 1,000 and 1,500 were in attendance with guests including Diddy, Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Stevie J, Kandi Burruss, Kimora Lee Simmons and Tichina Arnold.
