Drake has revived an art-themed carnival that had been dormant for 35 years thanks to cutting a nearly $100 million donation check.

According to The New York Times, Luna Luna — named after Luna Park in New York’s Coney Island — debuted in Hamburg, Germany in 1987 with carnival rides designed by acclaimed artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí and Keith Haring.

Financial troubles quickly plagued the carnival created by Austrian artist André Heller and the various installations have remained in storage for the better part of three decades.

Heller said he wanted to “build a big bridge between the so-called avant-garde — the artists who were a little snobbish sometimes and didn’t connect with the masses — and the so-called normal people” with the carnival.

Drake’s involvement came when the idea was presented to his creative venture business, DreamCrew, and the rest is history.

“When I first heard about Luna Luna I was blown away,” Drake told the Times. “It’s such a unique and special way to experience art. This is a big idea and opportunity that centers around what we love most: bringing people together.”

Heller has relinquished all control of Luna Luna as Drizzy’s DreamCrew has seized the operations. They’ve transported the carnival equipment and the restoration is now all systems go in Los Angeles.

An official tour run is scheduled for the fall of 2023 if all goes according to plan and Luna Luna will then be taken overseas in 2024 with a mix of original artwork pieces alongside newly commissioned structures.

“It feels miraculous that the artworks from Luna Luna will again see the light of day, and I am honored that a new generation around the world will experience the wonder of Luna Luna for many years to come,” Heller added.

On the music side, Drake and 21 Savage nabbed the Billboard 200’s top spot with Her Loss as the joint project compiled 411,000 equivalent units sold in its opening week. Drake and 21’s joint LP reportedly produced one of the biggest streaming weeks ever generating around 500 million streams.

The album was Drake’s second time this year topping the Billboard 200, following his seventh studio album, Honestly, Nevermind, which arrived in June.
