Nick Cannon has confessed that, while he may be satisfied with the number of children he currently has, he’s not sure if any more are on the way.

The soon-to-be father of 12 made the revelation to Billboard News after sharing how much inspiration he draws from his children.

“My kids are definitely the creative force in all that I do,” the proud dad said. “They’re the funniest, most innovative, best questions…every project I’m working on now is through their eyes. That’s my number one priority obviously. I wake up being a father thinking about my kids and everything else comes after that.”

Then asked whether there were more baby Cannons in the works, he replied: “I don’t know, man. I have no idea. I think I’m good right now.”

After welcoming three children this fall, Nick Cannon announced that he was expecting his second child with model Alyssa Scott. The pair welcomed their first son, Zen, in 2021; sadly, he died at just five months old due to a brain tumor.

In all, Nick Cannon is the father of four daughters and six sons, not including Zen. The growing Cannon brood includes two sets of twins: 11-year-old Moroccan and Monroe, who he shares with Mariah Carey; and one-year-old Zion and Zillion, who were born to DJ Abby De La Rosa in June 2021.

De La Rosa is also currently the mother of Nick’s youngest child, after welcoming daughter Beautiful in November. Cannon welcomed another daughter, Onyx, in September; and two weeks later, a little boy named Rise. He also welcomed a baby boy named Legend in July of this year.

Nick Cannon has been the target of both criticism and ridicule due to not only the number of children he’s fathered, but also their closeness in age. Aside from Moroccan and Monroe and his 5-year-old son Golden, all of the other Cannon children are under the age of 2.

Nick Cannon’s Baby Mothers Celebrate His Birthday

He addressed the public discussions about his children in the Instagram post announcing Onyx’ birth. “In this moment of celebration and jubilee, I wish to mute any low vibrational frequencies and only rejoice with the Highest Class of Civilization who are truly aligned with our purpose here in this dimension,” Nick Cannon wrote.

“We all learn so much from these Angels we call children. I am learning that it is not the limited amount of time we have on this planet but it’s the limited amount of love that is the issue. I’ve given up on attempting to define myself for the world or society but instead I’m doing the work to heal and grow into the infinite Being God ordained me to be.”

He continued: “Hopefully I can teach Onyx the same, to not let others shame or ridicule her with their outside opinions, because when they do they are only projecting their own harsh experiences, pain and social programming onto her unblemished beauty.

“As we all know I am not easily triggered and have quite tough skin and have always been an open book but not everyone in my family has that same level of strength. So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children.”
