Saweetie has responded to Joe Budden after he dragged her for allegedly addressing Lil Baby and Quavo on one of her recent songs.

The Icy Girl jumped on Twitter on Tuesday (November 22) and fired back at the podcaster for his comments about her music, calling him “Joelisha.” Saweetie also seemingly accused Budden of promoting misogynistic behavior in Hip Hop.

“Saweetie needs to STFU????? ok joelisha,” she tweeted, before adding: “Is misogynistic behavior normal for HIP HOP culture now? guess so.”

Saweetie’s tweets come after Joe Budden called her out for some of her lyrics on “Don’t Say Nothin,’” a track from her new EP The Single Life. The song found Saweetie seemingly referencing the alleged love triangle between her, her ex-boyfriend Quavo and Lil Baby.

“Why n-ggas always speakin’ on who I’m fuckin’ on? / He must’ve got excited when I FaceTimed with nothin’ on / Them same lips that’s yappin’ be the ones I nutted on / A hunnid K, please, know how much paper I be touchin’ on? / That’s light, better check my net worth / Post a pic in his sweatshirt, I bet it have my ex hurt / That’s what I get for kissin’ on these frogs / He got mad and told my business to the blogs,” Saweetie rapped.

Offset’s name was thrown into the love triangle after Quavo seemingly suggested Saweetie cheated on him with his cousin on “Messy,” from his recently-released Only Built For Infinity Links LP.

Lil Baby Seemingly Responds To Quavo’s Saweetie Cheating Claim

Saweetie’s bars didn’t sit well with Joe Budden considering the tragic murder of Quavo’s nephew and Migos groupmate Takeoff just weeks earlier. During a recent episode of his titular podcast, Budden denounced the “bad timing” of the song and told Saweetie to “shut the fuck up.”

“Saweetie gotta shut the fuck up. That’s my take,” he said. “I’m not listening to Saweetie until she answers the question that everybody waiting for her to answer: Did you fuck Offset or not? That’s it. It’s bad timing for whatever she was saying in that [song]. It ain’t the time for your freestyle.”

He added: “I honestly didn’t really hear nothing directed to Quavo. I just keep hearing Lil Baby, and I think people keep confusing it with Quavo like they did last time. But either way, it ain’t the time for confusion. It ain’t the time for none of that after they just lost their brother and nephew. Sorry, Saweetie. Push it back. You’ve been quiet. No need to come shake the table now. Did you fuck dude or not?”

Saweetie’s The Single Life EP arrived on November 18 and contained six new songs to hold fans over until the release of her long-awaited debut album Pretty Bitch Music, which she recently hinted will drop before the end of the year.

“She’s coming,” the Cali native told Rolling Stone. “She’s still in the womb, I haven’t popped her out. I want to thank my fans for patiently waiting. It’s been a year. It’s been a while. I’ve been recording officially for a year, non-stop.”
