Tim Hicks Announces Campfire Troubadour Tour
For over a decade, JUNO nominated, multi-platinum artist Tim Hicks has brought his trademark brand of feel-good party anthems to country lovers across Canada. Today, he announces the Ontario leg of his cross-country Campfire Troubadour Tour, featuring emerging artist Dayna Reid as the Ontario opening act. Pre-sale for the Ontario dates begins September 11, with tickets officially going on-sale September 14 at 10am local time. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased HERE.
Inspired by cozy Canadian nights sitting around a campfire, sharing stories and singing songs, the 18-date tour features an intimate show, with Hicks performing acoustic arrangements and stripped down versions of fan favourites, along with the tracks from his new EP Campfire Troubadour Vol II and its JUNO-nominated predecessor. As a standout in the Canadian country scene for earnestly working his way from an emerging artist to a top player in the genre, Hicks will be shining a light on emerging female talent across the country with a different opener in each province. The tour kicks off with Teigen Gayse in British Columbia, followed by Hailey Benedict in Alberta, and concluding with label-mate Dayna Reid for the Ontario dates.
2023 has been a milestone year for Hicks, celebrating a decade since the release of his debut album Throw Down with the release of the Deluxe Edition and a limited edition vinyl. Last night, Hicks premiered “Throwback,” a captivating documentary special that displays a heartfelt celebration of friendship, family and the places that have shaped his remarkable career over the last decade.
Tim Hicks isn’t slowing down as he heads into fall with the Campfire Troubadour Tour on the horizon and two nominations at this year’s CCMA Awards (Album of the Year and TD Aeroplan Visa Fans’ Choice). For more information about purchasing tickets and VIP packages, visit www.timhicksmusic.com.
